Upload your floor plan
How it works
Four steps, a few minutes
Upload the plan
A builder's plan, an architect's drawing or a clear photo of one. JPG or PNG up to 10 MB, PDF up to 4 MB.
Set north
Turn the compass dial until its N matches the north arrow on your plan. No arrow? A compass app at the centre of the home does the job.
Answer five questions
Where the main entrance, kitchen, toilets and master bedroom sit, and what is at the centre of the home. Eight directions, one tap each.
Read the first pass, then hear from the expert
The verdict appears at once, zone by zone, with what can be done. The expert then reads the drawing personally and sends a short note.
The film walks the same four steps as the list above, in order, on an example plan. Nothing in it is needed to use the check: the tool is at the top of this page and the steps are written out here.
Honest limits
What the check covers, and what it cannot see
What it covers
- Which zone the main entrance falls in, and what that means for the way the home opens.
- The kitchen zone and how the hob and water point can be set inside it.
- Each toilet zone, with the two placements we always look at first.
- The master bedroom zone and whether another bedroom might serve the couple better.
- Whether the centre of the home is open, partly built over or carrying weight.
What it cannot see
- Where exactly on a wall the door sits. The same wall has stronger and weaker positions, and only the drawing shows it.
- The slope of the plot, the road, the neighbours and what stands outside the windows.
- Beams, columns and the floor you are on. The plan repeats up the tower, so the expert checks these separately.
- How you actually live in the rooms. A bedroom on paper may be a study in practice.
- Anything the plan gets wrong. Brochure plans are sometimes drawn for the road rather than the compass, which is why north is confirmed on site.
That is why every verdict says it is a first pass. The rules are the same ones the expert teaches. The drawing, the site and the way you live decide the rest.
The promise
The expert reviews every plan personally
The tool gives you a first pass in minutes. The review is done by a person. The expert opens your plan personally, checks north, reads the zones on the drawing and sends a short note on WhatsApp or by phone.
The note says whether the first pass holds, what the drawing changes, and what is worth doing next. Often that is nothing. Sometimes it is a bed turned round or a hob moved. Occasionally it is a reason to look at a different unit before you pay. If you want the full written verdict on a shortlisted flat, the pre-purchase check on the pricing page is the next step, and it is a fixed price.
Questions people ask before buying a flat
How to check Vastu before buying a flat?
Get the floor plan, confirm north on site with a compass, and check four things: where the main door opens, where the kitchen sits, where the master bedroom is, and where the toilets fall. The AI Vastu Check does this first pass in minutes; the expert confirms it.
How do I check the Vastu of my flat?
What should I check before buying a flat?
RERA registration, the developer's delivery record, the exact unit's orientation, what the balcony faces, and the vastu of the layout. The last one is the easiest to skip and the hardest to fix later.
Does Vastu apply for flats?
Yes. The entrance, kitchen, bedrooms and toilets of a flat all have directions and all can be checked. Some things cannot be changed in a flat, which is why the check belongs before the purchase.
Which floor number is lucky?
Vastu does not rank floors by luck. It looks at light, air and how the unit is laid out, and any floor can be a good home if the layout works. Choose the floor for the view and the living, and check the plan.
Which direction is not good for flats?
There is no direction a flat cannot face. What matters is the layout inside: a south-west entrance, a kitchen in the north-east or a toilet in the north-east are the placements we look at first, and most have practical corrections.
